The memory and storage Steam asks for, and how to read it.
Memory first. Steam sets 8 GB RAM as the minimum and 8 GB RAM as the recommended amount. With Windows, a browser and a chat app open, 16 GB leaves comfortable headroom.
The install asks for roughly 3 GB. Downloading it takes around 5 min at 100 Mbps and close to 1 min at 500 Mbps, allowing for overhead.
Steam does not state an SSD requirement, so an SSD still improves loading times, but a hard drive should not stop the game launching.
Work out your total in the RAM calculator, which counts Windows, background apps and streaming on top of the game. Check how long the install takes with the download time calculator.

Steam user reviews put Zombieville USA 3D at Very Positive (93% positive from 1,880 reviews, checked 2026-11-02). It is a measure of popularity and sentiment, not of technical performance.
It was out for close to 20 months when we wrote this guide, so expect patches and driver updates to move the numbers a little over time.
Details here come from Steam's public store listing. We have not benchmarked every card, so treat the frame rates on this page as modelled figures.
A short, honest note on how the numbers are produced.
For Zombieville USA 3D the demand score of 15 comes from the minimum GPU, the CPU score of 21 from the listed processor line, and the VRAM figure of 3 GB at 1080p High is estimated from the demand score.
Frame rates scale each GPU against that demand, then adjust for resolution, preset, upscaling and a memory penalty when a card runs short of VRAM. CPU limits cap the result using a fast reference processor in the GPU tables.
These are modelled figures, not benchmarks. Real results change with drivers, patches, cooling, the scene you play and your processor. Use the numbers to compare cards and settings, then check them in the game.
Quick answers about Zombieville USA 3D requirements, GPUs, memory and settings.
