Details here come from Steam's public store listing. We have not tested the game on every card, so frame rates on this page are estimates from our model.
A short, honest note on how the numbers are produced.
Here is what feeds the estimates: demand 38 from the recommended card, CPU score 34 (from the listed processor line), and a 1080p High VRAM figure of 5 GB (estimated from the demand score).
The model divides a card's performance score by the game demand, scaled for resolution, preset and upscaling, with a penalty when memory runs short and a ceiling set by a fast reference processor.
These are estimates from our model, not benchmarks. Real results change with drivers, patches, cooling, the scene you play and your processor. Use the numbers to compare cards and settings, then check them in the game.
Quick answers about Life is Strange: Reunion requirements, GPUs, memory and settings.
On the Steam page the entry card is AMD Radeon RX 480, 8 GB / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660, 6 GB / Intel Arc A750, 8GB and the recommended card is AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT, 8 GB / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, 8 GB, with AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / Intel Core i5-10600 as the processor and RAM of 12 GB RAM at minimum (16 GB RAM recommended). Storage needed is 30 GB available space.
The quickest route is the can my PC run it checker. As a rule of thumb, the RX 6600 is the first card we tested that holds 60 FPS at 1080p on High.
For 60 FPS at 1080p on High you want at least the RX 6600. Among RTX 50 cards the RTX 5050 is the first to clear it.
For a smooth 1440p you want the Arc B580 at minimum, and among RTX 50 cards the RTX 5060 is the first that gets there.
Our estimate is around 74 FPS at 1080p and 48 FPS at 1440p on the High preset. It has 8 GB of VRAM, which is comfortable for this game at 1440p, so you can usually raise the settings.
The model shows 110 FPS at 1440p on High and 165 FPS once Quality upscaling is on. Treat both as estimates.
Treat 4K as an DLSS, FSR or XeSS-style upscaling job. The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is the first current RTX 50 card to hold 60 FPS at 4K on High with Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS-style upscaling according to our model.
On High settings the model wants around 5 GB at 1080p, 6.5 GB at 1440p and 9.0 GB at 4K. An 8GB card is therefore fine at 1080p and fine at 1440p.
Plan on around 5 GB at 1080p, 6.5 GB at 1440p and 9.0 GB at 4K on High. It is derived from the publisher recommended specs, not a measured value.
For the processor, Steam suggests AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / Intel Core i5-10600 and lists AMD Ryzen 5 1400 / Intel Core i5-4670K as the minimum, and Core i3-12100F, Ryzen 5 3600, Core i5-12400F, Ryzen 5 5600 and faster should stay above 60 FPS according to our estimates.
Steam names 12 GB RAM as the minimum and 16 GB RAM as recommended. With Windows and a browser or chat app open, 16 GB is a sensible target.
An SSD is called for on the Steam page. Plan for 30 GB available space of free space.
For laptops, RTX 5060 Laptop, RTX 5070 Laptop, RTX 5070 Ti Laptop, RTX 5080 Laptop, RTX 5090 Laptop stay above 60 FPS at 1080p on High at the power limits we assume, subject to TGP and cooling.
Start on High, turn on the best upscaling mode the game offers, then lower the heaviest settings such as shadows and volumetric effects. The settings table above gives a starting point for several cards.
We score it 38 on our demand scale, harder to run than 93% of the 937 games we model, which we call demanding. Its CPU score of 34 is above 83% of the games we model.
