Looking at Master of Command, a Strategy game from Armchair Interactive. We work through the official specs, estimate frame rates on 28 GPUs, size up the VRAM and processor needs and suggest settings and laptop options.

Where it lands among 937 modelled titles, and what that means for different classes of GPU.
We rate the graphics demand of Master of Command at 7. That puts it above 28% of the 937 modelled games and firmly in the undemanding band.
We take the minimum GPU Steam lists (GeForce GTX 1050) and translate it into a 1080p High demand figure. The result ranks games well, but individual frame rates will vary.
For the processor we score Master of Command at 18, which is above 0% of our data set.
The official specs for Master of Command, compared with real GPUs and processors.
Taken from the Steam store page; developers can revise these with updates.
The listed minimum is GeForce GTX 1050. Our model puts it near 140 FPS at 1080p on Low and 77 FPS on High, so treat it as an entry ticket rather than a target.
Steam asks for Intel Core i5-4570 | Ryzen 5 1600 at the recommended level. That class of processor tops out near 90 FPS in Master of Command in our model.
RAM starts at 4 GB RAM and goes to 8 GB RAM for the recommended tier, while the install needs 9 GB available space.
The lowest GPU we tested that reaches each target in Master of Command, plus the first desktop RTX 50 card that does.

Each verdict compares the card with a 60 FPS target using the High preset. Where a card falls short, the usual fix is a lower preset or upscaling, which the settings section prices in.
The step from an RTX 5060 (348 FPS at 1440p) to an RTX 5070 (360+ FPS) is about 29% in our model, a useful yardstick when choosing between the two.
Settings that hold 60 FPS at 1080p, 1440p and 4K, worked out for this game.
At 1080p, GTX 1660 Super, RTX 3060 12GB, RTX 4060 hold 60 FPS natively on High in our model, so you can leave upscaling off and spend the headroom on settings.
Start from the preset that still reaches 60 FPS, then raise one setting at a time. The table gives the best preset for each card.

What Steam gives for memory and disk space, and what it means in practice.
For RAM, expect 4 GB RAM at minimum and 8 GB RAM recommended. Allow for the operating system and background apps, which means 16 GB is a sensible floor.
On disk, plan for close to 9 GB free. At 100 Mbps with typical overhead that is roughly 14 min to download, or about 3 min at 500 Mbps.
On drives: Steam does not insist on an SSD, though one will shorten loads.
Add up your own needs in the RAM calculator, which counts Windows, background apps and streaming on top of the game. Time the download with the download time calculator.

Steam user reviews put Master of Command at Very Positive (93% positive from 2,662 reviews, checked 2026-11-02). It is a measure of popularity and sentiment, not of technical performance.
It was out for close to 13 months when we wrote this guide, so expect patches and driver updates to move the numbers a little over time.
Facts come from the public Steam store page. Frame rates here are modelled, since we have not tested the game on every card.
A short, honest note on how the numbers are produced.
Here is what feeds the estimates: demand 7 from the minimum card, CPU score 18 (from the listed processor line), and a 1080p High VRAM figure of 2 GB (estimated from the demand score).
Each card is scored against the game demand, then scaled for resolution, quality preset and upscaling. If a card has less VRAM than the game wants, the estimate drops, and a processor ceiling stops frame rates running away.
Please read the figures as estimates rather than measurements. Drivers, game updates, temperatures and the part of the game you are playing can all move them.

Steam gives GeForce GTX 1050 as the minimum GPU and GeForce GTX 2060 as the recommended one. The recommended processor is Intel Core i5-4570 | Ryzen 5 1600, with memory at 4 GB RAM minimum and 8 GB RAM recommended. Storage needed is 9 GB available space.
Compare your GPU with the verdict table above, or enter your exact parts in our can my PC run it checker. By our estimates the first card to hit 60 FPS at 1080p on High is the GTX 1060 6GB.
For 60 FPS at 1080p on High you want at least the GTX 1060 6GB. Among RTX 50 cards the RTX 5050 is the first to clear it.
At 1440p, 60 FPS on High starts with the GTX 1060 6GB. In the RTX 50 range that means the RTX 5050 or above.
At High settings it should manage close to 360+ FPS (1080p) and 239 FPS (1440p). 12 GB of VRAM is comfortable for 1440p, so you can usually raise the settings.
Expect close to 360+ FPS at native 1440p on High, or close to 360+ FPS upscaled. Your processor and drivers can shift the result.
For 4K you want a high-end card with upscaling. By our estimates the RTX 5050 is the first desktop RTX 50 card to hit 60 FPS at 4K on High with Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS-style upscaling.
Memory use comes out at roughly 2 GB (1080p), 2.6 GB (1440p) and 3.6 GB (4K) on High, which makes 8GB fine at 1080p and fine at 1440p. Leave some spare capacity.
High settings come out at roughly 2 GB, 2.6 GB and 3.6 GB for 1080p, 1440p and 4K. These are derived from the publisher recommended specs.
For the processor, Steam suggests Intel Core i5-4570 | Ryzen 5 1600 and lists Intel i3 series | AMD FX-4000 series as the minimum, and Core i3-12100F, Ryzen 5 3600, Core i5-12400F, Ryzen 5 5600 and faster should stay above 60 FPS in our estimates.
Steam gives 4 GB RAM as the minimum and 8 GB RAM as recommended. With Windows and a browser or chat app open, 16 GB is a sensible target.
Plan for 9 GB available space of free space. No SSD requirement is listed, though faster storage still helps loading.
The laptop GPUs that hold 60 FPS at 1080p on High at typical power are RTX 5050 Laptop, RTX 5060 Laptop, RTX 5070 Laptop, RTX 5070 Ti Laptop, RTX 5080 Laptop, RTX 5090 Laptop. Wattage and cooling will change that.
