This is our PC performance guide for Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, an Action, Simulation and Strategy title by PikPok. It covers requirements, estimated FPS across 28 cards, memory needs, CPU and RAM advice, settings and what to expect on a gaming laptop.

How this game ranks among 937 modelled titles, with a look at what that means for each class of card.
With a demand score of 32, Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days asks more of a graphics card than 83% of the 937 games in our list. We call that demanding.
It comes from the recommended card on the Steam page (RTX 2070 / AMD RX 5700), which we map onto a common performance scale and convert to 1080p High. Treat it as a relative guide.
On the CPU side, Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days scores 21, ahead of 21% of the 937 modelled games.
The official specs for Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, compared with real graphics cards and processors.
Taken from the Steam store page; developers can revise these with updates.
At the bottom end, Steam gives GTX 960 2GB / R9 280 3GB. That card manages roughly 37 FPS at 1080p on Low in our estimates, falling to around 20 FPS on High.
The recommended card, RTX 2070 / AMD RX 5700, delivers around 81 FPS at 1080p and 52 FPS at 1440p on High in our model. That is above 60 FPS at 1080p, so the recommended spec reads as a comfortable 1080p target.
For the processor, Steam lists Intel i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X. In our model a chip in that class can prepare about 100 FPS in this game, so it will not hold back most mid-range cards.
RAM starts at 8 GB RAM and goes to 16 GB RAM for the recommended tier, while the install needs an unstated amount of space.

What The Steam page lists for memory and disk space, and what it means in practice.
Memory first. Steam sets 8 GB RAM as the minimum and 16 GB RAM as the recommended amount. With Windows, a browser and a chat app open, 16 GB leaves comfortable headroom.
No SSD requirement is listed, but solid-state storage still helps with load times.
Add up your own needs in the RAM calculator: it adds Windows, a browser and any streaming to the game's own needs. Check how long the install takes with the download time calculator.

These guides sit closest to Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days in our data, either because they share genres or because they are about as hard to run. The demand scores use one common scale.
Steam user reviews put Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days at Very Positive (93% positive from 3,276 reviews, checked 2026-11-02). It is a measure of popularity and sentiment, not of technical performance.
It was out for about 19 months when we wrote this guide, so expect patches and driver updates to move the numbers a little over time.
Details here come from Steam's public store listing. Frame rates here are modelled, since we have not tested the game on every card.
A short, honest note on how the numbers are produced.
Here is what feeds the estimates: demand 32 from the recommended card, CPU score 21 (from the listed processor line), and a 1080p High VRAM figure of 5 GB (estimated from the demand score).
Each card is scored against the game demand, then scaled for resolution, quality preset and upscaling. If a card has less VRAM than the game wants, the estimate drops, and a processor ceiling stops frame rates running away.
These are modelled figures, not benchmarks. Real results change with drivers, patches, cooling, the scene you play and your processor. Use the numbers to compare cards and settings, then check them in the game.
Short answers to the most common questions about running Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days on PC.
On the Steam page the entry card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB and the recommended card is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 / AMD RX 5700, with Intel i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X as the processor and RAM of 8 GB RAM at minimum (16 GB RAM recommended).
The quickest route is the can my PC run it checker. As a rule of thumb, the RTX 2060 is the first card we tested that holds 60 FPS at 1080p on High.
Aim for the RTX 2060 or better for 1080p at 60 FPS on High; the RTX 5050 is the first current RTX 50 card to manage it.
For a smooth 1440p you want the RTX 4060 at minimum, and among RTX 50 cards the RTX 5060 is the first that gets there.
Expect roughly 101 FPS at 1080p and 65 FPS at 1440p on High. With 8 GB of memory, 1440p is comfortable, so you can usually raise the settings.
According to our estimates it manages around 124 FPS at 1440p on High, and about 186 FPS with Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS-style upscaling. Real results vary with drivers, the scene and your processor.
Treat 4K as an upscaling job. The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is the first current RTX 50 card to hold 60 FPS at 4K on High with Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS-style upscaling in our model.
On High settings the model wants about 5 GB at 1080p, 6.5 GB at 1440p and 9.0 GB at 4K. An 8GB card is therefore fine at 1080p and fine at 1440p.
The model suggests 5 GB (1080p), 6.5 GB (1440p) and 9.0 GB (4K) on High. The figure is derived from the publisher recommended specs; read it as a guide.
For the processor, Steam suggests Intel i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X and lists Intel i5-4460 / AMD FX-8350 as the minimum, and Core i3-12100F, Ryzen 5 3600, Core i5-12400F, Ryzen 5 5600 and faster should stay above 60 FPS in our estimates.
RAM is 8 GB RAM at minimum and 16 GB RAM recommended. Once the operating system and background apps are counted, 16 GB is a sensible target.
Steam does not state an SSD requirement, but an SSD is recommended for loading times. Check the Steam page for the install size.
By our estimates these laptop GPUs reach 60 FPS at 1080p on High at typical power limits: RTX 5050 Laptop, RTX 5060 Laptop, RTX 5070 Laptop, RTX 5070 Ti Laptop, RTX 5080 Laptop, RTX 5090 Laptop. Results depend on the power limit (TGP) and cooling.
Start on High, turn on the best upscaling mode the game offers, then lower the heaviest settings such as shadows and volumetric effects. The settings table above gives a starting point for several cards.
Our model rates it demanding: a demand score of 32, higher than 83% of the 937 games, and a CPU score of 21, higher than 21%.
Yes, it can. Early access games change often, and each update can shift performance up or down. Treat the figures here as a snapshot and re-check after big patches.
