Test your own GPU, CPU and settings in this game
CONTROL Resonant is an Action/Adventure/RPG game by Remedy Entertainment, out for roughly 2 months. This guide covers the official PC requirements, modelled frame rates on 28 graphics cards, VRAM needs, processor and memory advice, the best settings and laptop performance.

Where it lands among 937 modelled titles, and how that plays out for entry, mid-range and high-end cards.
With a demand score of 45, CONTROL Resonant asks more of a GPU than 95% of the 937 games in our list. We call that very demanding.
Behind the number is the publisher recommended card, Geforce RTX 3060 Ti / Radeon RX 6700 XT / Intel Arc B580, converted to an equivalent 1080p High workload. That makes the score comparable between games, though not exact for any single one.
On the CPU side, CONTROL Resonant scores 40, ahead of 89% of the 937 modelled games.
Everything Steam names for CONTROL Resonant, then what it means for real hardware.
These are the developer figures on Steam, and patches can change them.
The minimum card, Geforce GTX 1070 / Radeon RX 5600 XT / Intel Arc A580, is the floor Steam sets. In our model it manages roughly 74 FPS at 1080p on Low settings, and 41 FPS if you push it to High.
At the recommended level Steam names Geforce RTX 3060 Ti / Radeon RX 6700 XT / Intel Arc B580. We estimate 79 FPS at 1080p and 51 FPS at 1440p on High. That is above 60 FPS at 1080p, so the recommended spec reads as a comfortable 1080p target.
The recommended processor, Intel Core i7-10700 / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, can feed close to 101 FPS here on our figures, a useful ceiling to compare with your GPU.
Steam sets memory at 16 GB RAM minimum, 16 GB RAM recommended, and asks for 120 GB available space of storage.

RAM and disk space from the Steam page, with a practical view.
Memory first. Steam sets 16 GB RAM as the minimum and 16 GB RAM as the recommended amount. With Windows, a browser and a chat app open, 16 GB leaves comfortable headroom.
Free up roughly 120 GB before you install. On a 100 Mbps connection the download is close to 3 h 8 min, and on 500 Mbps about 38 min.
It is a big download by modern standards, so leave room on the drive for patches.
Steam notes that an SSD is needed or advised, so install it on a solid-state drive for loading times and smooth streaming.
Add up your own needs in the RAM calculator, which adds your usual background apps to what the game asks for. Time the download with the download time calculator.

Steam players rate CONTROL Resonant as Very Positive, with 92% of 9,643 reviews positive when we checked on 2026-11-02. Review scores say little about performance, but a large, positive audience means plenty of community advice on settings.
Being out for roughly 2 months, CONTROL Resonant may still receive performance patches, so keep it updated and keep your graphics drivers current.
Facts come from the public Steam store page. We have not benchmarked every card, so treat the frame rates on this page as modelled estimates.
A short, honest note on how the numbers are produced.
For CONTROL Resonant the demand score of 45 comes from the recommended GPU, the CPU score of 40 from the listed processor line, and the VRAM figure of 6 GB at 1080p High is estimated from the demand score.
Each card is scored against the game demand, then scaled for resolution, quality preset and upscaling. If a card has less VRAM than the game wants, the estimate drops, and a processor ceiling stops frame rates running away.
All FPS, VRAM and CPU figures are modelled. They are meant for comparing hardware and settings, and your own testing should have the last word.
Quick answers about CONTROL Resonant requirements, GPUs, memory and settings.
