Test your own GPU, CPU and settings for this game
Nathan Grange, Léonard Lemaitre, Niels Tiercelin developed VHOLUME, a Casual and Indie game that has been out for roughly 3 months. Below you will find the published system requirements, modelled FPS for 28 GPUs, graphics memory estimates, CPU and RAM guidance and a settings plan.

Where it lands among 937 modelled titles, and what that means for different classes of GPU.
Across the 937 games we have modelled, VHOLUME lands on a demand score of 15, ahead of 53% of them. In plain terms it is a mid-weight game for graphics hardware.
It comes from the recommended card on the Steam page (GTX 1060 or RX 580), which we map onto a common performance scale and convert to 1080p High. Treat it as a relative guide.
Its CPU score is 24, so it asks more of a processor than 31% of the games in our list.
Everything Steam gives for VHOLUME, then what it means for real hardware.
These are the developer figures on Steam, and patches can change them.
The minimum card, GTX 960 or R7 370, is the floor Steam sets. In our model it delivers roughly 79 FPS at 1080p on Low settings, and 43 FPS if you push it to High.
At the recommended level Steam gives GTX 1060 or RX 580. We estimate 79 FPS at 1080p and 51 FPS at 1440p on High. That is above 60 FPS at 1080p, so the recommended spec reads as a comfortable 1080p target.
For the processor, Steam names Intel Core i7-7700. In our model a chip in that class can prepare roughly 101 FPS in this game, so it will not hold back most mid-range cards.
Steam sets memory at 4 GB RAM minimum, 16 GB RAM recommended, and asks for 10 GB available space of storage.
Which card hits which target in VHOLUME, from a 30 FPS floor to 4K.

Prices usually climb faster than performance across the range. In VHOLUME that means the best value often sits in the middle rather than at the top.
Compare options directly in the upgrade value calculator or the GPU price to performance calculator.
What the game is likely to want from graphics memory on High. Running short causes stutter even on a fast GPU.
| Your VRAM | 1080p Low | 1080p High | 1440p High | 4K High |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 GB | Fine | Fine | Fine | Tight |

In 4 of the seven builds the processor, not the GPU, sets the 1440p frame rate in VHOLUME. The first is the RTX 5070 with Ryzen 5 7600, which the CPU holds near 250 FPS while the card could draw roughly 279.
For balance, look at RTX 4060 with Core i3-12100F. The CPU can prepare around 142 FPS and the card can draw roughly 139 FPS at 1440p, which is a close match.
These pairings are examples, not recommendations to buy. Swap in your own parts with the bottleneck checker to see which side limits you.
RAM and disk space from the Steam page, with a practical view.
For RAM, expect 4 GB RAM at minimum and 16 GB RAM recommended. Allow for the operating system and background apps, which means 16 GB is a sensible floor.
Free up roughly 10 GB before you install. On a 100 Mbps connection the download is around 16 min, and on 500 Mbps roughly 3 min.
On drives: Steam does not insist on an SSD, though one will shorten loads.
Work out your total in the RAM calculator, which counts Windows, background apps and streaming on top of the game. Estimate the wait with the download time calculator.

General guidance for this kind of game, chosen from the Steam genres and features.
Steam gives VHOLUME under Casual, Indie, so these general tips apply. They are hedged guidance rather than facts about the game's engine.
Below are screenshots supplied for the Steam store page. Compare them with your own game to see how much quality a preset or DLSS, FSR or XeSS-style upscaling mode gives up.

Steam players rate VHOLUME as Overwhelmingly Positive, with 97% of 2,708 reviews positive when we checked on 2026-11-02. Review scores say little about performance, but a large, positive audience means plenty of community advice on settings.
The game is out for roughly 3 months. Updates from Nathan Grange, Léonard Lemaitre, Niels Tiercelin and new graphics drivers can both change how it runs, so revisit your settings occasionally.
Facts come from the public Steam store page. We have not tested the game on every card, so frame rates on this page are modelled estimates.
A short, honest note on how the numbers are produced.
Here is what feeds the estimates: demand 15 from the recommended card, CPU score 24 (from the listed processor line), and a 1080p High VRAM figure of 3 GB (estimated from the demand score).
The model divides a card's performance score by the game demand, scaled for resolution, preset and DLSS, FSR or XeSS-style upscaling, with a penalty when memory runs short and a ceiling set by a fast reference processor.
Nothing on this page is a measured benchmark. Expect real frame rates to differ with drivers, updates and your own system, and treat the tables as a guide.
Short answers to the most common questions about running VHOLUME on PC.
Expect to need at least NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R7 370, ideally NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580. Steam pairs that with Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 7 1700, and memory of 4 GB RAM (minimum) or 16 GB RAM (recommended). Storage needed is 10 GB available space.
Start with the card-by-card verdicts, then run your own parts through the checker. The lowest card we tested at 60 FPS on 1080p High is the GTX 1060 6GB.
For 60 FPS at 1080p on High you want at least the GTX 1060 6GB. Among RTX 50 cards the RTX 5050 is the first to clear it.
The GTX 1660 Super is the lowest card we tested that holds 60 FPS at 1440p on High, with the RTX 5050 the first RTX 50 option.
At High settings it should manage roughly 173 FPS (1080p) and 111 FPS (1440p). 12 GB of VRAM is comfortable for 1440p, so you can usually raise the settings.
Roughly 265 FPS at 1440p on High, rising to around 338 FPS with Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS-style upscaling. Drivers, the area you play in and your CPU will move that.
The RTX 5050 is the entry point for 4K here, and only with Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS-style upscaling switched on.
We estimate around 3 GB at 1080p, 3.9 GB at 1440p and 5.4 GB at 4K on High settings. So 8GB is fine at 1080p and fine at 1440p. Use it as a guide and leave some memory spare.
High settings come out at roughly 3 GB, 3.9 GB and 5.4 GB for 1080p, 1440p and 4K. These are derived from the publisher recommended specs.
For the processor, Steam suggests Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 7 1700 and lists Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 as the minimum, and Core i3-12100F, Ryzen 5 3600, Core i5-12400F, Ryzen 5 5600 and faster should stay above 60 FPS in our estimates.
Steam gives 4 GB RAM as the minimum and 16 GB RAM as recommended. With Windows and a browser or chat app open, 16 GB is a sensible target.
Steam does not state an SSD requirement, but an SSD is recommended for loading times. Plan for 10 GB available space of free space.
At typical wattage, RTX 5050 Laptop, RTX 5060 Laptop, RTX 5070 Laptop, RTX 5070 Ti Laptop, RTX 5080 Laptop, RTX 5090 Laptop reach 60 FPS at 1080p on High in our model. Power limit and cooling decide how close a real laptop gets.
A sound recipe: High preset, DLSS, FSR or XeSS-style upscaling on, then cut the most demanding settings step by step. The best settings table lists where each card should begin.
Graphics demand is 15 (53% of the 937 modelled games sit below it) and CPU demand is 24 (31% below), so we class it as moderately demanding.
